In this article, you will learn how to Clean Dog Urine out of Your Carpet.
It has been proven that people who have pets live longer, happier lives, and I completely agree (I have 2 dogs & 2 cats).
However, this doesn’t mean that pet-owners have to love the cleaning and maintenance that is often involved! As we all know, pets can make quite the mess at home.
My wife & I have spend countless hours trying out numerous products and methods for removing urine stains from our carpets.
We’ve tried both store-bought and homemade approaches.
Home Carpet Shampoo Vacuums
After many failures and several stained carpets later, we finally settled on compact home carpet shampoo vacuums.
These small shampoo/vacuum machines do a great job of removing all stains without breaking the bank.
We use a small handheld Bissell that we bought for $100 and it has never let us down.
How to Use Shampoo Vacuums
- Clean the affected area of any dirt, hair, or debris prior to applying shampoo
- Soak the stain(s) with the provided solution and let it sit for 5 minutes
- Use the vacuum feature to suck all of the urine out
- Repeat until all stains are removed
- Dry the affected area(s) with a towel
